REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Pre-enrolment and Registration Update For the 2026-27 School Year
NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION
If your child is new to Edmonton Public Schools, you can register for school online. Visit the Division website to learn how to register for school.
If you have questions about registering, contact the school office.
CURRENT DIVISION STUDENTS PRE-ENROL
You will need to pre-enrol on SchoolZone to tell us the school you’d like your child to attend next year. Find important dates and deadlines and learn more about pre-enrolment, which opens at 8 a.m. on Monday, February 2 and closes at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
Please note: Dr. Anne Anderson School is a Level 2 school under the Growth Control Model. This means that we have open boundaries but are nearing capacity. Resident students who live within the designated attendance area are guaranteed access during pre-enrolment. Siblings of current students who are returning to the school the following year are guaranteed access during pre-enrolment. (Please indicate a sibling when you complete pre-enrolment in SchoolZone.) If there is available space, we may be able to accept students outside the attendance area. We may go to random selection if the number of applicants exceeds available space. It is highly likely that we will be full in planned classes in all grades immediately following pre-enrolment. Once we are full in planned classes, we only then accept resident students who have newly moved into the school's attendance area (several documents are required as proof of new address). All families will be notified by Friday, April 17, 2026, if the student has or has not been accepted.
Pre-enrolment and Registration Update For the 2025-26 School Year
Thanks to all the families who pre-enrolled before the March 19, 2025, deadline to help our school get ready for next year!
We had more requests than available space, which means new students will be chosen by random selection in grade 10. If your child is entering grade 10, you will be notified about the results by April 11, 2025.
For the 2025 - 2026 school year, Dr. Anne Anderson High School is full in planned classes in Grades 10, 11 and 12 in the regular and Advanced Placement programs. We will no longer be accepting students in Grades 11 and 12 in the Advanced Placement program. For the regular program, we will now only accept resident students for Grades 10, 11 and 12 whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have newly moved into the school’s attendance area. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.
If you are new to Edmonton Public Schools, you must register online.
Attendance Area Decision
The following neighbourhoods are in the attendance area for Dr. Anne Anderson School:
- all Heritage Valley neighbourhoods
- Edmonton South West and Edmonton South Central annexation areas*
* These areas are included in the attendance area for now, but as communities in the area begin to develop, this may change.

Getting To School
Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) is the preferred transportation method for high school students. However, if ETS does not meet Division standards, eligible students attending their designated school may be able to apply for yellow bus service.
